Old Commercials from 1988

Apologies for the lack of updates. February was a busy month and I've been having computer issues when it comes to transferring audio, so it's been fun battling with that. I've also been doing some media transfer work that's been piled onto me so I can make extra money to buy crappy albums. Let's also throw in a new girlfriend for some fun who happily comes record & thrift store shopping with me and puts up with all the terrible content that I screen for posting here.

Due to the computer issues, I may post more videos for the next little while (which I need to catch up on anyway) but I may pull out one of my laptops to do some audio transfers as well. I also have a stack of computers in the garage that need to be scanned for interesting content. Trust me, there is NEVER a lack of stuff to post here. I need a good ol' work related injury so I can take advantage of some Worker's Compensation time and make tons of entries.

Anyway, here's what I've got this time around. I gathered these commercials from an old Betamax videotape. I had absolutely no interest in the movies that the person recorded, but these commercials are just a huge trip down nostalgia lane for me. They're also campy as fuck.

Many of these ads are for local businesses here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Nowadays, I don't see many ads for local businesses which is a shame. There is a lot of charm to be had, compiled with the cheesiness of the 1980s. You've got new cars, new furniture, pizza delivery, and the list goes on and on. I've cut out the duplicates and made a 30 minute collage of 1988 goodness. Enjoy!
